Club Sessions

These commence on 29 March 2008. On Saturdays they run from 2 p.m. when BST operates and 1.30 during winter: on Tuesdays and Thursdays they run from 5 p.m. in summer and 6 pm. in winter. Club Sessions also run on Bank Holidays 2 - 5 p.m. unless there is a tournament or, in the case of the Easter Bank Holiday Monday - for which see below.

However it should be noted that all these times will also have to be integrated with coaching, which could affect at least one hard court, with a maximum of two at the very most, as will be the case for the

Teams

Cocks and Hens LTC run very successful teams in the Cambridge League and National Club League.

Captain Simon Elliott (mobile 07720 068230 ) Team practices start Sunday 16 March at 10.30 a.m. and at the same time on Sunday morning thereafter: however on Wednesday evening the practices should also fit round Junior coaching which runs up to 8 p.m..

Ladies: 4 teams
Captain Annie Clarke (07798 833425) For ladies interested in playing in any of the teams we are having a one-off “get together” Monday 24 March at 5.30 p.m. so BE DARING and COME ALONG!! Following this, regular team practice evenings will run weekly thereafter, but likewise to fit round Junior coaching.

Mixed: 2 teams play in the National Club Leagues
Junior Boys and Girls teams play in the National Club League at various age groups u12, u14, u16 and u18. It is intended to organise squad practices and coaching during the season, as well as matches against other clubs

New blood is always welcome for any of the teams, so if you are interested in playing then please contact Simon Elliott or Annie Clarke (re Seniors), or Simon Elliott (re juniors) for details, or just come along to the team practice sessions.

Men’s and Ladies matches run through May and June on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting at 6.30 pm and Sundays starting at 2 pm. Mixed matches follow from mid June to the end of July.

All these matches take priority over other arranged games if the grass courts are unplayable. Any amendments or alternations due to rescheduling of matches will be posted in the Clubhouse. These alterations cause plenty of headaches all round, so please check the club notice boards and website for updates. Kindly also liaise with Fiona Brookes over any changes.

Weekly Court Schedule

There will be a schedule notice in the Clubhouse, showing not only the regular fixtures but also the league matches. Please check this if you have to rearrange a match and book the appropriate courts.
